April 2021 Update

It looks like the Government Road Map is a GO!! This means that we will be reopening Theatrics after the Easter Holidays, so watch out for information coming your way soon.  Let your friends know we are also enrolling new Students and they can sign up through this website.

March 2021 Update

An update from Theatrics March 2021

We hope you are all safe and well and really miss everyone. We continue to offer sessions on zoom until we reopen for classes and it’s great to see so many students online . It’s not too late to join for those of you who would like to - please get in touch⭐️ The encouraging news is that on April 5th the government will advise if STEP 2 of their roadmap will go ahead (commencing April 12th)

If so, it means we are permitted to open again for normal classes after the Easter holidays. We will email full details to our students if confirmation is received on the 5th regarding the summer term. We are also hoping to host Easter Workshops the 2nd week of the school holidays. Please contact us to register your interest. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

February 2021 Update

We hope that everyone is well and thankfully the vaccination roll out is giving us a more positive outlook for this year. Whilst we are still unable to meet in person for classes, we have decided to create a temporary online programme featuring our wonderful Theatrics teachers as well as inviting some of the West End's brightest performers to bring their skills and talent to a series of Zoom workshops over the forthcoming weeks. We have contacted everyone in our database by email and text but these sessions are open to your friends as well, so if you want to put them in contact with us please email or call or text 07905 222418. Again we can't wait to be back in the studios doing what we love and putting shows together once more, but in the meantime lets ZOOM perform!!

10th November Update

So we are here in lockdown again! Please take care everyone and follow the guidelines so we can all stay well. Theatrics is planning to open again in December to finish the year out with three final fun classes and then look forward to a new start in 2021 and look forward to welcoming back all students at that time. We have been filming in class as the term has progressed and will be able to show these videos to you when they are edited, we hope to complete our filming in December with the drama class sections and then will put together our group films. We are also really looking forward to presenting medals and trophies to all students, having missed the Easter and Summer presentations so a special treat to look forward to.

Thanks to all who joined us for the first half of term, Nicky has been in contact with information regarding fees and credits for the end of term and next year. we have decided not to attempt any zoom classes or pre recorded sessions as the government have specified a short period for the lockdown, however we will stay in touch once again through Mailchimp emails, if you have changed e-mail address since the summer please let us know so we can update the database.

Once again we hope to return to our normal venues in January 2021. Please check our Class Times page for the latest schedule here.

23rd August Update

Starting Back to Theatrics in September

More great news from the The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport and the Gov.UK web site regarding OOSS - out of school activities. We can sing again and we are so pleased to be able to open Theatrics following very carefully the guidlines and protocols advised to us. We have been busy preparing for our new look schedule for the Autumn Term, we have tried to keep classes as close to their original times as possible but we ask for your understanding if your time is different to the Spring Term. This is a short term measure to allow us to offer as many classes as possible whilst keeping everyone safe. All being well, we will return to our normal venues and class times in January 2021. Please check our Class Times page for the latest schedule here.

Thanks to all of you who have signed up to return in September and January.

Thanks also to those Students who joined us for our Summer Workshops, we loved having you there and it was great fun and so good to be dancing and acting again, luckily singing was allowed at the end of the second week and so we could learn and record a song together, great memories!

10th August Update

Summer Workshops

We were thrilled that we were able to go ahead with our Summer Workshops and we managed the social distancing and cleanliness rules very well, it was different to our normal summer school as we were only allowed to have 15 students at each one, but it was great fun and everyone really enjoyed being back 'on stage'. We made a very nice souvenir video for the students in place of a show.

We hope that you all remain well, we have been overwhelmed by your positive response to returning to Theatrics in September and as soon as we have heard from everyone we will put our plan in place and advise you of the times and locations of all the classes. As you know we are unable to use Scotch Orchard School until January but have secured the Rugeley Rose in place of this and are looking forward to our September reboot. We still welcome new starters so contact us through the website here.

11th July Update

Hello Everyone, we hope that you all remain well and are looking forward to restarting at Theatrics in September.

There are a number of things that need to be in place for the Theatrics 'Reboot' and we will let you know through our Newsletter shots that we send each week exactly our plans.

In the meantime GOOD NEWS! The Government guidelines now allow us to run a Summer Workshop Programme which we have been organising. It is limited of course and will be strictly monitored within the Covid 19 protection plan according to our Risk Assessment.

Theatrics Summer Workshops

We have two weeks where we will be running workshops for groups of maximum 15. Monday July 27th to Friday 31st and Monday August 10th to Friday August 14th. These have been filled Students already signed up to our Easter and Summer Schools. However please register your interest and we are looking at a third week if possible from August 17th.

18th March Coronavirus/Covid 19 Update

It is with a great deal of sadness but at the same time a true sense of social responsibility that we have to announce the temporary closure of Theatrics Stage School, the Adlib Theatre Company and Spectrum Theatre Workshop.

We plan to resume in the Summer Term when possible provided it is safe to do so. We will reschedule the missed sessions from this term to make up the rehearsal time and hopefully still be able to present our summer shows.

We will prepare a Summer diary and revert with revised term dates during the next few weeks.  We will continue to post on face book and our website

Thank you for your understanding, please stay safe and follow the Public Health England guidelines

We look forward to seeing you soon back at Theatrics.

With best wishes, Adam and Nicky
